Organizations working on the tidal Schuylkill

Philadelphia Department of Parks and Recreation - Schuylkill Banks is owned by the City of Philadelphia.  Parks and Recreation manages the space in partnership with SRDC.

Schuylkill River Greenway Association - SRGA manages the Schuylkill River National and State Heritage Area, which covers the entire 128-mile river.

Friends of Schuylkill Banks - FOSB raises funds for SRDC to contribute to the maintenance and operations of Schuylkill Banks.

Schuylkill River Parks Alliance - SRPA is a trail user group that formed to advocate for keeping at-grade entry points into Schuylkill Banks free of parked trains. They hold a race and a Halloween parade each year.

Friends of Schuylkill River Park - FSRP is the official friends group of Schuylkill River Park, located on 25th Street between Pine and Spruce Streets. Schuylkill River Park includes the Markward Playground, a community garden, fields and courts for recreation, and a dog run.

Fairmount Water Works Interpretive Center - FWWIC is an interactive museum inside the Water Works where families can have fun while learning about the history of the National Historic Landmark and how water impacts our lives today.

Bartram's Garden - The oldest botanic garden in the United States, this gem of a National Historic House and garden lies along the Schuylkill River in Southwest Philadelphia.
