| Schuylkill Banks Master Plan |
Schuylkill Banks is a $2.5 billion dollar development effort being led by SRDC in partnership with public and private stakeholders for the benefit of the city, region and the Commonwealth.
A comprehensive implementation strategy is in place to guide short and long term development. An integration of two award-winning plans by the internationally renowned firms of EDAW and Sasaki Associates, the Master Plan includes a framework of public spaces, a network of streetscape and transportation improvements, a riverfront greenway and trail system, improvements to physical and environmental conditions.
The public sector investment is estimated at $170 million that will result in private investments of $2.4 billion over the next 5 to 10 years. Consensus-driven Guiding Principles help the SRDC leadership to define goals and establish priorities for the short term. Seven Priority Projects are included in a Phase One of implementation. |
