| Environmental Restoration |
| The Tidal Schuylkill River bears the characteristic scars of any post-industrial urban waterfront; a proliferation of brownfield sites, damaged wetlands and poor water quality. Environmental restoration activities to address these conditions are critical in facilitating the transformation envisioned by the New Schuylkill Riverfront and its dedicated stakeholders. Action items include eliminating sources of pollution and restoring natural systems through storm water management, increasing awareness and stewardship through educational programs and improving wildlife habitats. |
