Planning your picnic

Schuylkill Banks is part of the Fairmount Park system, so all Fairmount Park rules must be observed. This includes, but is not limited to: no littering, no driving vehicles on Schuylkill Banks, no vending or selling on the trail without a permit and no open fires. Permits are required for all groups of 50 or more people, and are encouraged for groups of any size. Learn more about hosting picnics and special events on the Parks & Recreation website.

Looking for a new place to picnic? Grays Ferry Crescent is a great place to set up a blanket and enjoy a quiet afternoon by the river. Access points to this new trail segment are located on the 34th Street Bridge, Grays Ferry Avenue & 36th Street, and Wharton Street & Schuylkill Avenue.
