Secrets of the Schuylkill Riverboat Tours: Enjoy a one-hour, fun and fact-filled riverboat tour aboard a 1920s-style, mini commuter yacht! This riverboat tour is a great way to see the city from a new perspective and to learn about the history of the Schuylkill River and Philadelphia. The last three tours for the season are September 28 at 5:30pm and 7:00pm, and October 12 at 2:30pm.

Boat to Bartram's Garden Riverboat Tours: This three-hour tour includes a guided riverboat ride and walking tour of Bartram’s Garden, a National Historic Landmark, and adjacent Sankofa Community Garden. There will also be time to explore the Bartram’s Mile recreational trail or relax under some of the oldest trees in the City. Most of the remaining tours are already sold out! Reserve the last few seats on the October 6 tour at 12:55pm today.

For those seeking an urban adventure, Schuylkill Banks Kayak Tours, operated by Hidden River Outfitters, are a great way to explore the tidal Schuylkill River!  Kayak tours include equipment rental, half an hour of instruction and a one-hour, professionally guided, round-trip tour of the Schuylkill from the Walnut Street Dock to the Fairmount Water Works, a National Historic Landmark. There are still a few spots available on the September 22 tours at 12:00pm and 2:00pm, and on the September 28 tours at 3:45pm and 5:45pm

The Walnut2Walnut River Challenge is back on September 21! The excursion begins at Schuylkill Banks and ends at the Independence Seaport Museum's boat basin on the Delaware River. The challenge course offers spectacular views of the city, while traveling almost 15 miles along both rivers. The Walnut2Walnut River Challenge is suitable for experienced paddlers looking for a new way to get in touch with Philadelphia’s waterways. Learn more about this event and register here
