Currents

Visit the Fairmount Water Works for CURRENTS, a multimedia exhibition curated by Philadelphia sculptors featuring special artist performances from Taji Ra’oof Nahl and Martha McDonald. The exhibit is on display through August 8.

The exhibition includes ten prominent local artists who expose the hidden mysteries of the raw architecture and underground corridors beneath the historic Fairmount Water Works. In the historic Kelly Pool area, site-specific, multimedia artworks immerse visitors in the voices of the river and the history and ecology of the Water Works, connecting colonial times to the real present and to an imagined future 250 years ahead.
