Northwest Schuylkill River Trails Summit
Join members of the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia and others at the Venice Island Performing Arts Center in Manayunk on Saturday, September 27 at 9:30am for an exploration of current trail investments and future trail projects in Northwest Philadelphia and Lower Merion Township.
As you may know, the Greater Philadelphia area is the proud home of the Circuit Trails, a vast regional network of hundreds of miles of multi-use trails that is growing in size each year. The Schuylkill River Trail (SRT) makes up a significant portion of the regional trail network that connects our communities and provides opportunities for recreating and commuting. Summit attendees will hear from those who have made the SRT in the Northwest Philadelphia and Lower Merion areas a reality and will learn more about the status of trail projects in planning and design. Discussions covering maintenance, programming, and advocacy to increase expansion of the Circuit Trails network in the area will follow the presentations.
