Center City

Schuylkill Banks

This mile-long trail segment features nine acres of open green space, rain gardens, tree groves, public art work, a boat dock and restroom facilities near Walnut Street, and benches throughout. The Center City segment includes eight access points, making it a great option for connecting to countless destinations along the river corridor.

The trail is part of the larger Schuylkill River Trail, which will eventually run along the entire 120-mile Schuylkill River. It is part of the Circuit Trails, which is the greater Philadelphia region's network of 300 trail miles and growing. It is part of the September 11th National Memorial Trail, which is a 1,500 mile multi-use route that links the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and the Flight 93 Memorial. And, it is part of the East Coast Greenway, which will eventually include 3,000 trail miles from Maine to Florida.
