Have some fun on the Banks!

Can you believe there is only one more movie night of the season?!  Join us on Thursday, August 23 for Jurassic Park. The movie will start at 8:15pm, but make sure to get there early for FREE Shake Shack custard before it runs out.  We will also be raffling off the last of the Philadelphia Runner gifts cards before the movie. Relax on a fact-filled riverboat tour, go for an urban adventure on a kayak tour, or join us for the annual Philly Fun Fishing Fest and the Walnut2Walnut Challenge. RIVERBOAT TOURS
Learn about the past, present, and future of the tidal Schuylkill River and its impact on Philadelphia on a one-hour Secrets of the Schuylkill tour. Or dive deep into the history of the oldest botanic garden in North America on a three-hour Boat to Bartram's Garden tour. Either way, you're sure to learn something new about the unique history of the city while seeing spectacular views you won't get anywhere else.

KAYAK TOURS
Explore the Hidden River on a professionally guided kayak tour! Tour offerings include basic and moonlight paddles from the Walnut Street Dock to the Fairmount Water Works. An instructional session and equipment rental is included with each tour. Tours include ½ hour of instruction and 1 hour on the water. Moderate exertion level.

PHILLY FUN FISHING FEST
Enjoy a morning of free catch-and-release fishing and friendly competition on Schuylkill Banks, thanks to Philadelphia Water, Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, and the PA Fish and Boat Commission.

The annual Fishing Fest is perfect for anglers of all ages and level of experience. No fishing license is required during the fishing competition and fishing gear will be available for loan on a first-come, first-served basis.

WALNUT2WALNUT CHALLENGE
Paddle or row down the Schuylkill River and up the Delaware for a scenic trip around Philadelphia's peninsula. The excursion begins on Schuylkill Banks at Walnut Street and ends at Independence Seaport Museum's boat basin.

The challenge course offers spectacular views of the city, while traveling almost fifteen miles along both rivers. The Walnut2Walnut Challenge is suitable for all skill levels so whether you are an experienced rower or looking for a new way to get in touch with Philadelphia’s waterways, this event is for you!

At the conclusion of the challenge, enjoy an after party at the Seaport Museum's waterfront Beer Garden "Deck", where food and beverage will be available for purchase.
