Fran Levi joined the Schuylkill Banks Volunteer Team in 2013, after serving as a community representative on the Design Concept Team which provided input for the Schuylkill River Parks Connector Bridge. She has been a dependable volunteer ever since. A resident of Fitler Square, Fran sees the trail as a great asset: she uses it to walk her dog Mazel, to get to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, or to get home from 30th Street Station after trips to New York.

Fran’s volunteer skills have been best put to use during riverboat tours, when she greets visitors, checks them in for tours and answers questions. “I enjoy meeting people who take the Boat to Bartram’s Garden who never knew the trail existed,” she says. “I love telling them about the trail and how it is being extended to Bartram’s Garden.” Fran’s energy and knowledge of the neighborhood have created a positive experience for many a riverboat tour customer. Thanks Fran, for helping hundreds of visitors discover the past, present and future of Schuylkill Banks! We look forward to having you on the team for many seasons to come.
